Porto Rotondo, 15th October 2017 - A beautiful sunny day and a slight wind from the east on 6, 7 knots characterized the VI edition of the Trophy of the Two Gulfs - Memorial Bepi Carlini, dedicated to the homonymous citizen entrepreneur. The event took place between Olbia and Porto Rotondo and was organized by the Circolo Nautico Olbia and the Yacht Club Porto Rotondo, with the collaboration of the Marina di Porto Rotondo. The regatta took place on Sunday, October 15, and featured 26 boats from all over the north east of Sardinia.
On the terrace of the club, Lucialda Lombardi, member of the Board of Diretor, gave a warm welcome to all crews and thanked them for their enthusiastic participation in the event. Fabio Fiorentino, President of the Circolo Nautico Olbia and Lucialda Lombardi thanked the "godmother" of the event, Anna Carlini.
In the ORC class, "Robelgiò" owner Edoardo Vivarelli triumphed, followed in second place by "Apache" by Alberto Ferracini. The third step of the podium went "Anna Maria I", owner Giancarlo Campus.
The victory in the White Sails category was won by "Allegra" by Ivan Marabini, followed by "Est Indiana" by Antonio Brigaglia in second place, and by "Alia" by Monica Campesi in third.
In the Derive category Roberto Aversano won, with his "Extreme Sail". In second place "Tostoine Biattu" by leonardo Secchi.
The Bepi Carlini Trophy went to "I Vezzi Miei" by Antonello Spano, who beat "Durlindana II" for just one second, blowing the chance to win the coveted prize for the second time in a row.
The next sailing appointment in Porto Rotondo is scheduled for 28-29 October, on the occasion of the awaited Regata dei Legionari.
