BEYOND WON TROFEO DEI DUE GOLFI - MEMORIAL BEPI CARILINI
Porto Rotondo, 26th October 2020. The ninth edition of the Trofeo dei Due Golfi - Memorial Bepi Carlini ends yesterday in the sign of Beyond, owner Luigi Grandi.
Nineteen, the boats that were hosted at the Marina of Porto Rotondo in the week preceding the event. As scheduled, in compliance with Covid-19 regulations, the nineteen helmsmen well equipped with face mask participated in the briefing, held by the President of the Race Committee Marcello Solinas.
At 11:00 with a wind coming from the north, north-west between 10 and 12 knots the boats showed up on the starting line. After the start, the Gulf of Congianus was colored by the multicolored sails of the spinnakers and gennakers. After Capo Figari a challenge was undertaken to the last edge to conquer the coveted trophy and only at the height of Pittulongu Beyond, helmed by Simone Salvo, did it cross the finish line. In the opinion of the competitors themselves, the regatta was exciting both from a technical and a sporting point of view.
The boats once arrived at the Centro Nautico Olbia were awarded by the godmother of the event, Mrs. Anna Maria Carlini: Beyond triumphed in the White Sails Class by Luigi Grandi, closely followed in second place by Gonzales by Vincenzo Tremante, while the third step of the podium went to Elisee Sophie by Angelo Del Rio. The victory in the Grand Cruise category went to Maeva by Giorgio Spano, followed by Nur by Marco Terzitta and by I Vezzi My by Alessandro Saba. To get on the podium in the category Cruise Annamaria of Giancarlo Campus; second place was won by Antonio Brigaglia's Aera and third place by Molly by Franco Denti. The coveted Trofeo dei Due Golfi - Bepi Carlini has been awarded to Beyond world premiere in real time with 2 hours, 17 minutes and 59 seconds.
The Yacht Club Porto Rotondo congratulates with its Member Luigi Grandi for the victory. A special thanks gos to Circolo Nautico Olbia and the Marina of Porto Rotondo for the collaboration in the organization of the regatta.
The Trofeo dei Due Golfi - Memorial Bepi Carlini closes the 2020 YCPR sport calendar , the appointment with the sporting events is confirmed for the next season.
